Gary Neville outlines Manchester United’s edge over Arsenal and urges them to buy a striker to replace Erik ten Hag.

In January, Gary Neville has pushed Manchester United’s management to replace Erik ten Hag with a new striker because he thinks the Red Devils are becoming a legitimate squad.

After winning their third consecutive Premier League game since the season resumed after the World Cup, United are currently only one point behind second-placed Manchester City. Casemiro, Luke Shaw, and Marcus Rashford all scored against Bournemouth to help United to a 3-0 victory.

Neville has nothing but admiration for the way his former team is performing and believes that Ten Hag deserves to be backed in the January transfer window because a fresh forward is sorely needed after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.

They merely have the appearance of being active. With Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, and Bruno Fernandes in the middle, they have some experience; it appears wiser, according to Neville, who spoke to Sky Sports.

Marcus Rashford is in great shape. They need a forward, but they already have some who are in good shape. Although it doesn’t appear to be very powerful defensively, they’re doing fine.

“The management has stuff right now.” They’ve all bonded, in my opinion, as a result of their shared determination to overcome terrible circumstances, including those involving Harry Maguire, Cristiano Ronaldo, and the season’s rocky beginning.

They have probably become closer than they would have if the season had merely started normally. Ten Hag is in a good position to make decisions there right now. But they must find him a striker!

Neville believes that United’s depth throughout the rest of the team, which far outweighs the alternatives available to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, is a big weapon in the top-four competition despite the fact that United may be missing options up top.

They’re becoming stronger, he continued. They have, in my opinion, a lot more players than Arsenal.

‘Mikel Arteta is doing an amazing job, but you feel he’s so well-balanced if they lost a center-back they’d be in trouble,’ the commentator said.

While United has four centre backs, which is a lot of the same, they have strength in depth.

I believe there is still a long way to go, and the upcoming weeks will be quite intriguing. We’ll learn a lot more in a few weeks because United’s next two matches are against City at home and Arsenal away, both of which are quite difficult.

“Before this game, 16 games had been played; that is far from title talk; you are miles, miles away.”

“But I didn’t see the champions here,” said the commentator, “but I didn’t think they were champions at the start of the season, so where they are is remarkable.”
