On March 31, the Gujarat Titans will face the Chennai Super Kings in the first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. On the second day of the competition, Punjab Kings will face Kolkata Knight Riders, while Lucknow Super Giants will face Delhi Capitals. On April 2, the Rajasthan Royals will face the Sunrisers Hyderabad, while the Royal Challengers Bangalore will face the Mumbai Indians in a high-profile match. Gujarat Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, won the IPL title in 2022 after defeating Rajasthan Royals in the final. In 2023, the IPL will be played at 12 different locations, including Dharamsala and Guwahati, in addition to the ten home venues.

The final league game will take place on May 21. A total of 70 league matches, including 18 double headers, will be played. Each team will play seven home games and seven away games.
The teams are divided into two groups: Group A includes the Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants, while Group B includes the Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans.
Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati, and Dharamsala are the IPL 2023 venues.
