Mohammad Amir took four wickets for 26 runs in the Pakistan Super League, including three in the powerplay.
Fast bowler Mohammad Amir of the Karachi Kings was in sublime form during the Pakistan Super League match against Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday. Although his team lost the match against Zalmi, Aamir got the ball rolling with three wickets in the powerplay. He dismissed the opener of Peshawar Zalmi, Mohammad Amir, and also Babar Azam in the very first over before taking the wicket of Saim Ayyub in the third over. He gave Haris his marching orders with a toe-crushing yorker, also leaving the Pakistan star injured. After this, he dismissed Babar in the same way to put the Karachi Kings in control of the match. Amir deceived both batters with in-swinging yorkers. He played very well, but in the end, his team fell short of runs.
The dismissal of Wade sparked a batting collapse as the team got dismissed on 122 for 8. Captain Imad Wasim put up a strong fight by scoring 57 runs out of 30 deliveries and taking his team closer to the target. But in the end, Peshawar Zalmi won the game by 24 runs, with Jamal Omarzai and Jamal taking three wickets each. Lahore Qalandars will have a match against Quetta Gladiators at home on Thursday.
