The formal selector of the Indian Cricket Team, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, criticises the Indore pitch but also makes a blazing comment on KL Rahul.
At Indore’s Holkar Stadium, the Border Gavaskar Trophy’s third test encounter took place. Former bowlers Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke, and Dilip Vengsarkar are all venting their frustration over the match’s opening day’s 30 wicket loss. Sunil Gavaskar, a former cricket legend for India, supported the pitch in spite of all of this after the ICC gave it three demerit points for being a poor pitch. Krishnamchari Shrikkanth, a former top selector for the Indian cricket team, was critical of the Indore pitch and made a scathing remark about KL Rahul in his assessment of the pitch.
Due to his poor showing, KL Rahul was benched for the third test of the Border Gavaskar series between Australia and India. Shubhman Gill, who was playing well, was substituted for KL Rahul in the squad, but even with his inclusion, India lost by nine wickets.
On his YouTube account, Srikkanth made a shocking remark about KL Rahul and claimed that if he had played in the game against Indore, his career would have been over due to the difficult playing surface, where even Virat Kohli struggled to score runs. He added that my happiness for KL Rahul comes first and paramount. Thank goodness he decided against playing. Thank God he didn’t participate because if he had, he might not have been successful in the following two Test matches and his career might have ended. Honestly, speaking He continued, “batting is very tough on these pitches.” Whatever the case, hitting is challenging. Anybody cannot make runs on these pitches, not even Virat Kohli.
When Kuhnemann bowled in the first inning, you could see that he managed to get the ball to rip through and spin square. Taking wickets is not a huge deal on these wickets.
