Because of his Achilles problem, Josh Hazlewood was also kept away from the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Josh Hazlewood, a fast bowler for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, is expected to miss the first round of the Indian Premier League, which begins tomorrow in Ahmedabad. According to a report on cricket.com.au, Hazlewood is going to be available for the later stages of the league. He is currently recovering from an Achilles problem, because of which he was kept out of the Border Gavaskar Trophy matches in India also.
Hazlewood will consult the medical staff of cricket Australia before deciding on his participation in the IPL. Beside Josh all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who also missed the final two ODIs against Team India, this is also a doubtful case as there are chances of him missing the opening match against the Mumbai Indians on April 2nd in Bengaluru because he is also recovering from his leg injury.
The national selector of Australia, George Bailey, said that Maxwell broke his leg last year in an accident and is finding it extremely hard to come back to the ODIs.
