Dasun Shanka has been chosen as the Gujarat Titans’ replacement for injured player Kane Williamson in the Indian Premier League season 2023. On March 31, 2023, William sustained an on-field injury to his right leg while attempting a catch at the boundary in the tournament opener against Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
