Shikhar Dhawan, captain of the Punjab Kings, delivered one of the season’s best innings, scoring 99 as Punjab reached 143/9 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.
Except for Dhawan and Sam Curran (22), no other PBKS batsman reached double digits as the SRH bowlers ripped them apart, with Mayank Markande claiming four wickets and Umran Malik and Marco Jansen each taking two.
Earlier, Aiden Markram won the toss and chose to bowl against the Punjab Kings. This is the third time PBKS has lost the toss and been sent to bat first. They’ve won the last two, and it’ll be intriguing to see if they can keep it going tonight.
