Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by four wickets in IPL 2023, with to Abdul Samad’s last-ball six. With a target of 205, the Hyderabad-based team crossed the finish line on the final ball.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Jos Buttler (95 off 59) and Sanju Samson (66* off 38) drove Rajasthan Royals to 214/2 from 20 overs in Jaipur on Sunday.
This season, the Royals’ hitting order has failed to gel as a unit. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in top form, while older batsmen Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Shimron Hetmyar all cooled off as the season progressed. Their bowling, which includes Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin, can take care of themselves, but the batting must provide them with something to bowl to.
