RCB will meet GT in the final match of the IPL 2023, hoping to secure a playoff position, but weather may play a spoiler in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s playoff chances are hanging by a thread as they meet Gujarat Titans in Match 70 of the IPL 2023 on Sunday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Faf du Plessis-led side must win this match against GT and finish the league phase with 16 points so that the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals do not take the last playoff place.
MI are now sixth in the table with 14 points from 13 games and will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in an afternoon fixture on Sunday. Meanwhile, RR is in fifth position with 14 points from 14 games, having completed all of their league matches.

However, weather appears to be a factor in RCB’s do-or-die match, since there has been relentless rain in Bengaluru over the previous two days. Accuweather predicts generally overcast skies in Bengaluru, with the toss slated for 7:00 p.m. IST. A thunderstorm or two is also possible. The temperature is forecast to be approximately 23 degrees Celsius. The weather is predicted to follow a similar pattern at night, with thunderstorms, and the temperature will be around 21 degrees Celsius.
With the weather adding to the drama, subsurface aeration at the ground should allow for speedy resumptions if the game is halted at any stage.
