Robin Uthappa was an important member of India’s T20 World Cup-winning team in 2007.
He was part of the Chennai Super Kings team that won the IPL title in 2021 and was also a main part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team that won the title in 2014 under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir. He also played for several IPL franchises, including the Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, and Kolkata Night Riders. Now he has taken retirement from Indian cricket but is an expert with the IPL’s official broadcasters.
Robbin Uthappa posted an emotional tweet on Tuesday night on this official account that stated, “I am not surprised by the hate I am receiving here for what has been my experience. Peace and love to you all!”
Although it is not clear what the context of the tweet is, many users claimed that it was a response to the trolling that Uthappa had to face after he commented that if he had the opportunity, CSK would be the IPL franchise that he would want to play for, as this statement did not go well with the supporters of other teams where he played.
