During the IPL 2023 final, MS Dhoni added another major milestone to his already brilliant career.
MS Dhoni reached a unique milestone to his already remarkable career on Monday during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Dhoni became the first cricketer in history to appear in 250 IPL games, the most of which he played for CSK and some for Rising Pune Supergiant. Dhoni is followed by Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, who has played 243 games in the tournament. When it comes to T20s, Dhoni is third on the list with 377, trailing only Rohit and Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik.
“With rain in the forecast, we’ll bowl first.” We were in the locker room the day before. You always desire to play as a cricketer. It was the audience that suffered the most. We’re hoping to keep them entertained. The surface has been covered for a long time, yet it has performed well throughout the competition. We’re quite delighted to be playing a 20-over game. This is appropriate for the competition. “Same team,” Dhoni stated during the coin toss.
Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya stated he would have like to bowl first as well.
“I would have bowled first, but my heart wanted to bat, so I don’t mind losing the toss.” We agreed that it was something beyond our control (the weather). The trophy will be awarded to the squad that performs the best. I enjoy keeping the lads cool, and they appreciate it. It’s a flat track (I wonder what he thinks of the pitch?). “It’s the same team,” he stated.
