Yashasvi Jaiswal ended the IPL 2023 season as the fifth-highest run scorer with five half-centuries and one century.
Chennai Super Kings won the Indian Premier League’s 16th season’s championship on Monday for the fifth consecutive time. With their outstanding achievements this season, numerous uncapped players, like Jitesh Sharma, Rinku Singh, Suyash Sharma, etc., rose to stardom. However, the Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal made headlines and completely won over the crowd. The 21-year-old batsman won the “Emerging Player” title after scoring 625 runs in just 14 games.
As a result of Jaiswal’s exploits in the IPL, Team India has called him up as a standby player for the World Test Championship final against Australia. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who declined to participate because of his June 3 wedding, was replaced by the RR opener for this occasion.
Jaiswal and other players have arrived in the UK ahead of the World Tennis Championship final, which begins on June 7 at The Oval. ICC shared a video of Jaiswal hitting the nets and practising some strokes on Instagram.
