Ruturaj Gaikwad, the opener for the Chennai Super Kings and one of the best batsman in IPL 2023, just wed Utkarsha Pawar, the love of his life. On Monday, he posted some stunning photos from his engagement on Instagram. The couple wed on June 3. The 26-year-old added that the pair had devoted the subject of the engagement to the people of Chennai to demonstrate their appreciation towards CSK. He missed the World Test Championship final against Australia because of his wedding.
Gaikwad posted some beautiful images on Instagram along with the caption, “Utkarsha being part of my life and my journey right from the start knew exactly About the Important Aspects of my Life.”
Notably, Utkarsha has played domestic cricket for Maharashtra and has represented the state.
Speaking about Gaikwad, the opener scored 590 runs with a strike rate of 147.50 and an average of 42.14 in just 16 games. Four half-centuries were also included in his performance.
On May 29, CSK won the highly anticipated fifth IPL championship after defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the championship game.
Gaikwad was selected as one of the standby players for India’s World Test Championship team to face Australia in London after his impressive IPL performance. He was given the chance, but had to decline owing to his wedding, therefore a young woman named Yashasvi Jaiswal was sent in his stead.
