On Tuesday, a questionable dismissal occurred during the Tamil Nadu Premier League match between Nellai Royal Kings and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans.
The spectators saw a contentious dismissal during the Tamil Nadu Premier League match between Nellai Royal Kings and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans on Tuesday at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. The Tamizhans bowled first and bowled out the Kings for 124. Later, they knocked down the goal in 18.2 overs with seven wickets in hand. P Bhuvaneswaran was the standout of the bowlers, taking five wickets and giving his team a lead in the game. However, Bhuvaneswaran’s expulsion of Laxmesha Suryaprakash drew everyone’s notice.
During the fourth over of the Kings’ innings, the ball struck the edge of Suryaprakash’s bat and flew to S Radhakrishnan, who took a catch at slip. The umpires seemed perplexed and forwarded the judgement to the third umpire, who reviewed it and ruled it out.
In the TNPL encounter, the Kings were bowled out for 124, with Sonu Yadav scoring 35 runs. Apart from Bhuvaneswaran’s five-wicket haul, G Periyaswamy also grabbed two wickets.
Later, the Tamizhans cruised to victory as their opening pair of S Radhakrishnan and Tushar Raheja hit 34 and 49 runs, respectively. Later, Balchander Anirudh (15) and Rajendran Vivek (21) stayed undefeated and led their team to victory.
The Tamizhans will now face Ba11sy Trichy in their next match on Sunday, while the Kings will take on Salem Spartans on Thursday.
