Buttler included South Africa’s Quinton De Kock with Rohit as batsmen and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell as an all-rounder option. He chose South African pacer Andrich Nortje and England teammate Adil Rashid for their bowling.

Buttler’s first choice was Adil, who is expected to have a successful tour to India next month as England tries to defend their crown.
In his first World Cup on home soil in 2019, the leg-spinner claimed 11 victories, with marks of 3/54 (10) against Australia and 3/66 (10) against Afghanistan. In the final versus New Zealand, when the team ultimately won the trophy, his economy was under five per over.
Rashid, who has taken at least one wicket in 10 straight ODI games, will be hoping to benefit from the spin-friendly conditions in India. Rashid also enters the competition in excellent form.
Rashid has taken 22 wickets in the last 10 one-day internationals, taking one every 23 deliveries at an economy rate of 5.95 and an average of 22.72. With 16 more victims, he may surpass the 200 wicket mark throughout the competition.

After the Cricket World Cup, the 30-year-old will end his ODI career, but his potential to win matches is still generally acknowledged in front of South Africa’s campaign in India.
Given the hurdles presented by the new ball at the top of the order and his aggressive, high-risk batting style, de Kock’s average of 44.75 in the 50-over format is excellent.
De Kock hasn’t produced a big goal at a World Cup. At the 2019 competition, he scored three half-centuries, including winning scores of 52 (51) and 68 (74) against Australia and England, respectively.
