Out of all the athletes worldwide in 2023, just one Indian reached the list of “most searched.” Neither Rohit Sharma nor Virat Kohli was involved.
The list of “most searched” athletes worldwide for 2023 has been made public by search engine giant Google. Major athletes made headlines this year, including Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved to Inter Miami and Al-Nassr, respectively. Surprisingly, though, the two don’t rank among the top 10 “most searched athletes” worldwide. In actuality, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, two Indian cricket players, are not included on the list. One cricket player from India did, however, make the cut.
Shubman Gill, a cricket player from India, is a rising star. The top-order batsman has had an absolutely amazing year, solidifying his spot in the Indian lineup for all three formats.
With his efforts crucial to the team’s success in all formats in 2023, Gill is genuinely regarded as a future batting great. Gill ranked ninth on the list.
Surprisingly, though, Gill isn’t the list’s top-ranked cricket player. One place ahead of Gill on the list of athletes who were Googled the most worldwide in 2023 was Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand. He was ranked eighth.
Here’s the full list:
1) Damar Hamlin
