Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan was seen slapping a fan in a video that went viral on social media.
Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of Bangladesh’s men’s national cricket team, smacked a fan not long before news of him gaining a parliamentary seat in his country broke. Shakib, who is infamous for losing his calm on the pitch, was spotted throwing a heavy slap to a supporter while surrounded by a large crowd. Though it is unclear when and where the incident occurred, it has been suggested by some social media users that it occurred roughly a week before the election results were announced.
According to the footage, Shakib struck the fan during an incident at one of the polling locations. As the Bangladeshi actor arrived to vote, he was encircled by supporters, and the scene escalated when a fan attempted to grab him from behind. Shakib then chose to deal with the situation by slapping the fan.
Shakib’s campaign required him to take a brief break from cricket.
He has reacted angrily to the allegation that he would be unable to manage his duties as a legislator and a cricket captain.
During the campaign, he wondered, “Did I retire?” “If I haven’t retired, then where does this question come from?”
The International Cricket Council has classified Shakib as the number one all-rounder in all three forms at the same time.
