On Thursday, Mickey Arthur, Andrew Puttick, and Grant Bradburn tendered their resignations from their respective roles at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) located in Lahore.

Bradburn was named head coach of the Pakistan national men’s team earlier this year, while Arthur was named director of the country’s men’s cricket squad in April 2023. Puttick, a former cricket player for South Africa, has been Pakistan’s batting coach since April 2023.Before his most recent position, Arthur was the head coach of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team from 2016 to 2019. During that time, the team won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy and rose to the top of the ICC Test team rankings. Arthur has also coached Sri Lanka, Australia, and South Africa in international cricket.

After coaching the Pakistan men’s team in fielding from 2018 to 2020, the 57-year-old Bradburn—who had previously played 18 international matches for New Zealand between 1990 and 2001—took up the position of Head of High-Performance Coaching at NCA until October 2021.

Pakistan became the top-ranked ODI team in the ICC ODI rankings during his time as head coach. Before the current Twenty20 International series against New Zealand began, on January 8, Grant Bradburn announced his resignation as Pakistan’s high-performance coach.

Bradburn was moved to the NCA as a result of the coaching posts being rearranged in the wake of Pakistan’s early elimination from the 2023 World Cup.By the end of January 2024, each of the three people gave notice to the Pakistan Cricket Board that they were quitting their posts. All parties involved reached a mutually agreeable resolution. The PCB appreciates their services and wishes them luck in all of their future pursuits.
