On the third day of the first Test in Hyderabad, Ravichandran Ashwin broke the stumps with a move that left England captain Ben Stokes speechless. Ashwin found a path between his pad and bat.
Ravichandran Ashwin similarly deceived England captain Ben Stokes in the second innings of the first Test match against India, when Stokes was unable to respond to an inswinging delivery from Jasprit Bumrah. On Saturday, Ashwin’s amazing delivery utterly outclassed Stokes, who was up against the elite Indian spinner. The captain of England could not figure out how Ashwin was able to defeat him from start to finish.
It was up to Stokes to hold one end and avert the collapse after England lost a lot of wickets in the second session of Day 3. However, after only six runs off 33 balls, the all-rounder left the game.
