Ravindra Jadeja resorted to social media to deliver a comprehensive injury report ahead of the team’s selection for the last three Tests against England.

Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder for the Indian cricket team, turned to social media to present a comprehensive injury update ahead of the team’s selection for the last three Tests against England. Jadeja injured his hamstring during the first Test match, hence he missed the second match, which India won comfortably in Visakhapatnam. With the five-match series deadlocked at 1-1, India will benefit greatly from Jadeja’s return from injury. The player posted a photo of himself from the National Cricket Academy with the comment, “Getting better #NCA.”

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah became the first Indian pacer to top the ICC Test rankings following an outstanding performance against England in Visakhapatnam.

The 30-year-old has become just the fourth player from his country to reach the top spot thanks to his nine-wicket match tally, which has allowed him to pass Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

The other Indians who have topped the charts include Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Bishan Singh Bedi.

Ashwin’s 11-month reign came to an end with a 106-run victory that helped India level the five-match series. Bumrah was named Player of the Match. Ashwin is now third in the ranks with 499 Test wickets.
With 881 rating points currently held by Bumrah, the only other Indian bowlers with a higher total are Ashwin (904) and Jadeja (899). In March 2017, Ashwin and Jadeja also hold the unique distinction of being rated #1 together.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, a left-handed opener, moves up 37 spots to 29th in the batting rankings after making a brilliant double-century in the first innings. Shubman Gill moves up 14 spots to a career-best 38th place after making a century in the second innings.
