Sometimes Bharat got off to a great start, but it could not turn that into a significant defeat. According to Manjrekar, Bharat has not looked good since Ishan Kishan was replaced during the Test series against South Africa. If he is unable to put on a strong performance, the team management will need to go elsewhere for more capable players.
It feels a lot like the first series he’s ever played. Rishabh Pant is expected to arrive soon. He has experience playing, having participated in all four Test matches against Australia. Thus, I’m not sure if continuing to invest in KS Bharat is wise or beneficial. Furthermore, his age is not twenty, and India has moved on from KS Bharat to Ishan Kishan. So he’s done enough to maintain his standing on the side, perhaps. Although the team management feels that each player should be treated fairly, Manjrekar told new sources, “I would personally consider another option before Rishabh Pant steps in and takes his place.
Additionally, Manjrekar noted that comparing KS Bharat to Rishabh Pant could not be beneficial for the team in the near future since the latter is still recovering from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
“India will begin evaluating KS Bharat’s keeping to see if we can afford to have someone who isn’t making as much of an impact at the bat. These days, it seems like keepers who are decent enough to keep the ball and can also contribute with the bat are in high demand in India and around the world. Rishabh Pant’s bat output over the past three to four years is a prime example of this. India must hence consider those issues,” he continued.
