While fans were relieved to see Dhoni back playing cricket, it was his bat sticker that made headlines. Dhoni’s gesture for his old friend, which included the name of the latter’s shop on his bat’s sticker, got him a lot of praise. However, this was not the first time Dhoni had aided someone with such a gesture.
Another claim that has appeared on social media concerns bat manufacturer BAS, whose bat the Ranchi-born cricketer used in his early career.
Mr. Somi Kohli, the owner of BAS, claimed in a video uploaded on social media how Dhoni turned down a contract worth crores in exchange for the bat manufacturer’s sticker as a form of retaliation for the assistance he received during his early days as a cricketer.
