For the third Test match between India and England at Rajkot, fast bowler Mukesh Kumar was left out of the starting lineup.
Mukesh Kumar, the Indian cricket team’s fast bowler, has been released from the squad for the third Test against England in Rajkot. Mohammed Siraj returned to the playing XI, and Mukesh will now join the Bengal squad for their next Ranji Trophy match. BCCI turned to social media to explain why it released the bowler. “Mr Mukesh Kumar has been released from India’s selection for the third Test against England in Rajkot. He will join his Ranji Trophy squad, Bengal, for their next match before joining squad India in Ranchi,” the BCCI announced on X (previously known as Twitter).
“We are going to bat first. We made four adjustments. Some injuries, and some players returning from the previous game. Two debutantes. Siraj and Jadeja are back. Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar do not qualify. Looks like a good pitch, better than the last two we’ve played on. Rajkot is recognized for its good pitches, however they will deteriorate over time. When it was necessary, the lads rose to the occasion and completed the task at hand. The next three Tests will be just as intriguing as the first two. “We need to stay focused here and see how well we can do,” Rohit added.
The English captain announced that Mark Wood will replace Shoaib Bashir in the visitors’ lineup.
