After India defeated England 434 runs to 1 in Rajkot, Rohit Sharma tweeted a special social media post for Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sarfaraz Khan.

In the third Test match against England, India’s skipper Rohit Sharma witnessed the generation-next take control in the whites as players like Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, and Yashasvi Jaiswal made significant contributions in the field and at the bat to help the side win 434 runs. Jurel was outstanding behind the wickets and even produced a wonderful run-out, but players like Sarfaraz and Jaiswal forged crucial partnerships in the middle.

A day after India’s crushing triumph over Ben Stokes’ men, Rohit took to social media to dedicate a great tribute to Jaiswal, Sarfaraz, and Jurel. “Ye aajkal ke bacche (these kids of the current generation),” Rohit wrote an Instagram story including photos of the three Team India players.

With more than four sessions remaining in the game, India gave England a goal of 557 runs on a calm pitch. India now leads the series 2-1 after the visitors crumbled in 40 overs for 122.

“On such wickets in the past, we have won numerous matches. Our strength still lies in the turning tracks and on pitches where the ball turns. It provides us with balance,” Rohit said to the press following the game.

“We have delivered results for a long time, and we will continue to receive outcomes. However, there are certain aspects over which we have no influence; for example, we never talk about whether or not we want rank turners. How much can we accomplish in two days when we are here (to the sites) two days before the game? The curators make the decisions and pitch. We possess the strength to play and win on any wicket. “Everyone knows what kind of wicket it was when we won the Test in South Africa (at Cape Town),” he remarked.

According to Rohit, the Indian squad has managed to overcome every challenge faced in the first three Test matches.

“There were various hurdles in the last three Tests that we participated in. The ball was spinning and the pitch was slow in the first Test (Hyderabad). It was (staying) low in Vizag. The wicket grew slower as the game went on. Here, for the first three days, it performed admirably.

“We saw that the ball was low and spinning today. Pitch formats are similar to this; we receive pitches similar to this in India. However, we will also play on rank turners, Rohit continued.

Sarfaraz Khan has gained enough domestic cricket experience, according to the India captain, that the team management did not feel the need to discuss any plans with him prior to his debut here.

“Sarfaraz bat hasn’t been around all that much. However, every Mumbai player I’ve spoken to has told me that he has made runs for Mumbai in many trying circumstances, Rohit remarked.

“He’s hungry for runs and has been making runs in domestic cricket consistently for the last four to five years, so (that indicates) he’s doing something right,” Rohit remarked.

We didn’t talk to him about any plans. Because I’ve heard from the Mumbai players that if you let him be, he’ll do his job,” he continued.
