Musheer Khan hits his first double century in the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals against Baroda.
While Sarfaraz Khan has impressed with his efforts in the IND vs. ENG Test series, where he made his debut, his younger brother Musheer Khan is thriving in the Ranji Trophy. Musheer, who was the second-highest run scorer in the U-19 World Cup (360 runs in 7 innings), has maintained his form in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai.
Musheer scored his first ton in only his fourth first-class match, and his first in almost a year, against Baroda on day one of the match. Then, on Saturday, he extended his excellent form by scoring a double hundred, putting his team in a strong position.
His century was notable for the fact that he took little chances, hit 18 boundaries, and relied heavily on dashing between the wickets.
In the match, Mumbai were bowled out for 384, with Musheer remaining unbeaten on 203. Aside from the former, only Hardik Tamore reached fifty runs before being bowled for 57. Mumbai will now want a huge lead.
