Mother of Mayank Yadav disclosed that although he was not always a vegetarian, he stopped eating non-vegetarian cuisine two years ago.
Mayank Yadav, a pacer for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has ignited the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 with his incredible bowling. His quick deliveries, which can reach speeds of over 150 kmph, have helped Lucknow win some outstanding matches in the current T20 league season. What, though, is the key to the pacer’s rapid speed? In response to a question on the young athlete’s diet, his mother Mamta Yadav said that her son had become a vegetarian in the previous few years. However, he used to consume non-vegetarian meals.
“Mayank recently became a vegetarian. He used to consume non-vegetarian meals earlier. For the past two years, he has only eaten vegetarianism. We would cook him whatever he has been requesting us to make, according to his diet plan. In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Mayank’s mother Mamta disclosed that her son wouldn’t eat anything unusual, including dal, roti, rice, milk, vegetables, etc.
Although Mayank’s mother isn’t totally sure why the cricket player stopped eating non-vegetarian cuisine, she did disclose that she is aware of two factors. His first motivation sprang from his faith in Lord Krishna, and his second was his sense that eating non-vegetarian food was no longer healthy for him.
“He said that eating non-vegetarian meals wasn’t very good for his physique. He informed us for two reasons. One possible explanation could be that he initially began to believe in Lord Krishna. We didn’t press him to explain why he stopped eating non-vegetarian meals. He claimed that whatever I was doing was beneficial to both his physique and game,” Mayank’s mother disclosed.
In the conversation, Mamta also expressed her ambition to see her kid play for India in the near future and make his debut abroad.
Many previous cricket players have pushed for Mayank to be given priority in the Indian team after seeing his early-IPL prowess.
