In May 2012, Shah Rukh Khan got into a physical brawl and heated argument with a security guard, which led to a ban from the Wankhede.
On Friday, the Wankhede Stadium will host an IPL 2024 encounter between the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders. With 12 points from nine games, KKR is comfortably leading the 10-team standings, while MI is in ninth with six points from the same number of games. There is some history between KKR, Wankhede Stadium, and co-owner Shah Rukh Khan. Following an IPL match in which the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated the Mumbai Indians, Shah Rukh got into a fistfight and a heated argument with security guards and MCA officials, leading to his ban from the Wankhede in May 2012.
Following the KKR vs. Mumbai Indians 2012 Indian Premier League match, the Bollywood actor was the target of a police report for voluntary harm and intimidation. SRK wasn’t detained, though, because the offense was not identifiable.
That being said, Shah Rukh Khan claimed he was enraged when he saw security personnel touching a group of kids, including his daughter.
In 2015, the Mumbai Cricket Association formally revoked Shah Rukh Khan’s five-year ban from attending Wankhede Stadium.
Joy Bhattacharjya, the former team director of the KCR, spoke out about the matter on Friday. Bhattacharjya posted the following in response to a post about the incident: “I was still in the dugout the last time KKR defeated MI at the Wankhede. Though it’s been a while, today could be the lucky day! Two titles were won by KKR following that occurrence. I was there, and he did not mistreat. And the next time someone calls your little daughter, maintain your composure.”

I hope the best for him. I hope his knee heals completely soon,” the actor continued.
