After striking Ishant Sharma for a couple of boundaries, RCB player Virat Kohli was spotted making fun of him.
During their IPL 2024 encounter on Sunday, Delhi Capitals pacer Ishant Sharma and Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s star batsman Virat Kohli engaged in some lighter banter. After beating Ishant for a few boundaries, he was observed making jokes. When Kohli slid one past the keeper in the first instance, nobody was there to stop the ball from heading for the boundary. The RCB hitter approached Ishant and requested that he take a slip for the upcoming ball. The second time, Kohli blasted the seasoned player for a deep wicket six over no glance. But when he removed Kohli with the fourth ball of the over, Ishant got the last laugh of the innings.
He tugged him cheerfully, and Kohli accepted it with a sardonic smirk on his face and his head down. The RCB’s innings’ fourth over saw the emergence of the Kohli-Ishant friendship.
In response, one of the supporters remarked, “Aajkal ke West Delhi ke ladke.”
Ishant and Kohli have been friends since their first playing days in Delhi. Ishant has also participated in Indian team games while captaining the squad. On social media, the two’s humor gave rise to a meme frenzy.
