The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans was called off on Thursday owing to nonstop rain, making Sunrisers Hyderabad the third team to earn a spot in the playoffs.
Hyderabad has 14 points from 12 IPL games prior to the SRH vs. GT IPL match, placing them fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. Hyderabad now has 15 points from 13 IPL games following the washout, while Gujarat Titans finish the 2024 IPL season with 12 points.
With a victory over RCB on Saturday, CSK has the opportunity to pass SRH, who are now, at least temporarily, ranked third. Note that there is a possibility that the match between RCB and CSK will also be washed out.
