On Sunday night, Kale and MCA office bearers witnessed the India vs Pakistan match live at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadiums in New York, USA.
Amol Kale, the honorary president of the Mumbai Cricket Association, died in New York after suffering a heart attack. Kale, MCA secretary Ajinkya Naik, and apex council member Suraj Samat watched India’s exciting victory over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup from the stadium on Sunday.Kale was elected president of the MCA after defeating World Cup champion Sandeep Patil in a close race in October 2022. He was important in the MCA’s decision to raise Mumbai’s senior men’s match fees for the upcoming season.
Kale, originally from Nagpur, spent more than a decade in Mumbai, where he established a number of businesses. He was thought to be a close aide to Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister.
Aside from overseeing MCA’s operations, Kale was also a co-promoter of the Indian Street Premier competition, a tennis-ball franchise cricket competition that began earlier this year.
