while Rohit Sharma is also frustrated in the T20 World Cup match

Hardik Pandya suffered an injury scare during India’s T20 World Cup Super 8 encounter against Australia.

India has exacted its retribution. The Mitchell Marsh-led team suffered a severe blow when they lost to the Rohit Sharma-led team in a Super 8 match in St Lucia, following a heartbreaking loss to Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. Australia was eliminated from the T20 World Cup on points after Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh, and that defeat proved to be a significant factor in their elimination. India defeated Australia with near-perfect performance. India set them a goal of 206 runs, and Rohit Sharma scored 92 off just 41 balls. Despite a quick start from Travis Head and other players, Australia was only able to reach 181/7 in 20 overs because they were unable to sustain their momentum.

But there was a moment during the game when Hardik Pandya narrowly avoided getting hurt after being struck by a Pant toss. Mitchell Starc was bowled a slower ball by Pandya, but he could not make contact. Pant gathered up the ball and aimed it toward the stumps. The ball struck the Pandya’s hand after missing the stumps. The incident infuriated the renowned all-rounder, while India captain Rohit Sharma was irritated.

Pacer Arshdeep Singh praised Jasprit Bumrah for his outstanding bowling during the T20 World Cup after India’s strategic acumen and ability to react to difficult circumstances led them to a 24-run triumph over Australia in the Super match.
In the opening over, Arshdeep got rid of the dangerous David Warner, launching India’s bowling assault. Australia’s chase was halted when he took important wickets in the final overs, including big-hitters Tim David and Matthew Wade.

Arshdeep finished the match with the highest wicket-taking percentage (3 for 37), not only for India but also for the tournament, moving up to the second rank in the rankings with 15 wickets in six games, behind Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqi, who had 16 wickets in seven games.Left-arm pacer Bumrah, who is 25 years old, received a lot of credit for his achievements. “I guess a lot of credit goes to Jassi bhai (Jasprit Bumrah) because he puts a lot of pressure on the batters – he gives, what, three or four runs in an over – so batters are coming hard against me, and I just have to try and bowl my best ball and there are a lot of chances of getting wickets there,” Arshdeep commented.

“On the other hand, they take greater chances against me when they realize the runs are not coming and the asking rate is rising. There’s always a chance to pick up a wicket there. Thus, Jassi bhai deserves a lot of credit for my wickets,” he continued.

With the help of captain Rohit Sharma’s explosive 41-ball 92, Suryakumar Yadav’s 31 off 16 balls and Hardik Pandya’s crucial 27* off 17 balls, India amassed a dangerous total of 205/5 in 20 overs.
