Mohammed Siraj, India’s pacer, arrived in Hyderabad after taking part in Mumbai’s winning parade and felicitation celebration. Siraj arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Friday, and fans flocked to show their love and support. Siraj told reporters upon his arrival in Hyderabad, “We had to wait 11 years for this moment, so I am really happy.” India’s 7-run victory over South Africa in Barbados marked their first ICC trophy in 11 years. Prior to this win, MS Dhoni led India to victory in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.

Siraj and the rest of the Indian team arrived in New Delhi on Thursday from Barbados. He visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the rest of the team at his residence in the national capital.
After leaving the national capital for Mumbai, the Rohit Sharma-led team began the open-top bus procession on Marine Drive. Fans come out in droves, dancing to the rhythm of India’s victory and celebrating the arrival of the T20 World Cup winning team.
Throughout the parade, players were seen holding the coveted trophy high in the air and acknowledging the supporters’ support throughout the tournament.
The fans’ desire to see their squad was evident as several of them climbed a tree and cheered for the players as the bus passed them.

When the victory parade finished and the squad arrived at the Wankhede Stadium, the Indian cricket players danced to the beats of ‘dhol’ as spectators cheered them on.

The office bearers of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) presented a check for Rs 125 crores to the T20 World Cup-winning Indian squad at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

India’s World Cup-winning players distributed balls to the stadium’s spectators. Fans grabbed selfies and begged for signatures from the cricketers.
