India has announced its women’s Asia Cup 2024 squad

Indian women’s squad for the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup, which starts on July 19, has been announced.

The ninth Women’s Asia Cup will take place in T20 format in Sri Lanka from July 19–28. The Asian sides can use the competition to test out new players and hone their teams in preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup later this year.

Smriti Mandhana will serve as Harmanpreet Kaur’s deputy as she leads India’s 15-member team.

There will be eight teams in the competition, split into two groups of four, with India, Nepal, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates in Group A.

On July 19, India will play Pakistan in the Asia Cup. They will next play Nepal on July 23 and the United Arab Emirates on July 21.

The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals, where the championship match takes place on July 28. The venue for all games will be Dambulla.

India has named four traveling reserves, Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh, in addition to the fifteen.
