Following Carlos Alcaraz’s victory at Wimbledon on Sunday, Sachin Tendulkar congratulated the Spanish tennis player.

Carlos Alcaraz, a Spanish tennis player, received congratulations from legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday following his second Wimbledon victory. At the center court in London, Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) to win his second Wimbledon championship in a row. Carlos defeated ‘world-class opponent’ Novak Djokovic in straight sets, and Tendulkar celebrated the victory on his official X account. He also gave Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic credit for his poise and demeanor in both wins and losses.

“Abse tennis pe ek hi raj karega, woh hai Alcaraz. Winning the @Wimbledon finals in straight sets against a world-class opponent is no joke. With that kind of speed, power, placement, and energy, it looks like it’s going to be Advantage @carlosalcaraz in the years to come. Hats off to @DjokerNole for his grace and the way he has conducted himself in victory and in defeat. For me that is the hallmark of a true sportsperson,” Tendulkar wrote on X.

In the Wimbledon 2024 final, the Spanish tennis player started well and grabbed command of the match, winning the set 6-2 against the Serbian. The opening set was one-sided as Alcaraz gained a double break, which lasted 41 minutes.
Alcaraz maintained his momentum to win the second set 6-2. Djokovic struggled in the second set and couldn’t come back.
The Serbian tennis player attempted a comeback in the third set, but Alcaraz refused to give up. Djokovic began well in the third set and fought hard against his opponent, but the Spaniard fought back and forced the match to a tiebreak. Alcaraz remained composed throughout the tiebreak, eventually winning 7-4.

The Spaniard dominated the game from the start, winning the Wimbledon 2024 championship in three sets.
