After failing to place in the top four during the Paris qualification round, India was eliminated from the mixed team 10m air rifle medal competition.

On Saturday, Indian shooters were eliminated in the mixed team qualifiers round of the 10m air rifle competition at the Paris Olympics. With an aggregate score of 626.3, Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh came in at 12th position, while Ramita and Arjun Babuta came in sixth. With three shots remaining, Ramita and Arhun Babuta came close and finished fifth, but they were 1.0 point short of the cut-off for the medal round. In the second relay, Ramita scored 10.2, 10.7, 10.3, 10.1 in the second series, their effort propelling the team into the top 8. Babuta had a great start with a sequence that read 10.5, 10.6, 10.5, 10.9 in the second series.

However, they had to accomplish more than what they ultimately did in order to advance to the bronze medal round. The top three qualifiers were shooters from China, followed by Korea and Kazakhstan.

To participate in the medal matches, a team must place in the top four.
