The India squad for the second Test against Bangladesh confirmed by the BCCI without any alterations.

The men’s selection committee for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the Indian team for the second Test matchup with Bangladesh. For the second Test, the selection committee decided to stick with the same team, according to a BCCI release. From September 27 to 29, Kanpur will host the second Test match. Particularly in light of his performance in the series opener at Chepauk, there were discussions regarding KL Rahul’s place on the team. However, the committee that selected him chose to give it another go. See if Sarfaraz Khan is picked ahead of him in the starting lineup, though, would be intriguing.

For the second Test match against Bangladesh, India’s roster is as follows: Rohit Sharma (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Yash Dayal

India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, had stated prior to the first Test matchup with Bangladesh that they would go in the same manner as they had during the Test series against England earlier in the year.

The fourth day of the first Test saw a massive crushing of Bangladesh by a strong India side, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. Senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin capped a memorable all-round performance with a six-wicket haul.At his home ground of Chepauk, first-inning centurion Ashwin (6/88) did most of the damage as Bangladesh, set an unlikely goal of 515, were bowled out for 234 in their second innings.

India declared their second innings at 287 for 4, thanks to consecutive hundreds from Shubman Gill (119) and Rishabh Pant (109) for a 514 advantage overall.
