West Indies rose to the top of Group B after chasing down a target of 104 in 12.5 overs, their second win in three matches. Three teams from this group are presently in contention for the two semi-final positions, with South Africa and England each on four points, albeit the latter has only played two games.
Bangladesh suffered their second consecutive defeat in three games, reducing their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage significantly. Bangladesh lost six wickets for 27 runs after being brought in to bat.
