Though it was nearly eight months after that contest, he did eventually make a comeback. Tiwary recently said in an interview that he was disappointed with the way things transpired at the time and made a subtle jab at then captain MS Dhoni by stating that he will deal with everything in the future. At the height of his career, he added, a player’s confidence is “crushed” if he is dropped.
“You see, it was a long time ago. It is a thing of the past, yet it was sad, dukh to hota hi hai. I’d be lying if I claimed it wasn’t depressing. Can we do anything? Although it’s life, it must go on. If I were to write my own autobiography or host my own podcast, I would be completely honest. It wasn’t simple, though. while a player’s confidence is undermined while he is doing at his best, it alters his perspective,” he told Cricket Addictor.
Manoj Tiwary praised pacer Akash Deep for his outstanding bowling abilities and stated that he will be able to compete with some of the greatest bowlers when the right-arm pacer performs in international settings.
Akash kept his place in the first Test match against Bangladesh in Chennai, when he destroyed the opposition with his pace and took two wickets in the same over on the second day, following an outstanding Test debut against England earlier this year.
“It was evident that Akash Deep had talent when he joined the senior squad from the U23. He has put in a great deal of effort to transform that talent into performance and has made all the necessary sacrifices to accomplish something noteworthy. He is a diligent and composed player.His performance under Indian conditions has been outstanding thus far. Think about how his performance would place him among the greatest bowlers when he plays abroad in places like Australia, England, or South Africa,” Tiwary told to IANS.
