Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has expressed his happiness with the way things worked out for them in the IPL Mega auction
Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya is pleased with the outcome of the IPL super auction in Jeddah, saying the franchise has “found the right mix” of players. The renowned all-rounder stated that they had a clear strategy to have a mix of young and veteran players. “I was in contact with the table as well, exactly who we are going for, and I believe we came out pretty well from the auction and how the team is looking,” he said in a MI video broadcast on social Twitter.
“We have discovered the proper blend of seasoned players, like as Boulty (Trent Boult), Deepak Chahar, who has been around, and young guns like Will Jacks, Robin Minz, and Rickelton, who are new.
“So, I think we did fairly well. “We have covered all the bases.” Explaining the auction dynamics, Pandya said that while the entire process is exciting, it is critical to keep emotions under control, especially when going after a certain player the team really needs.
“Auction dynamics are usually complex. “When you watch it live, it’s very exciting, and your emotions are constantly up and down because you want this player,” he said.
“But sometimes, you simply lose. So, it’s really important not to be very emotional, and in the end, we have to establish a whole team.”
MI added several uncapped young players, including Naman Dhir, Robin Minz, Vignesh Puthur, Arjun Tendulkar, Bevan John Jacobs, Venkata Satyanarayana Penmetsa, Raj Angad Bawa, Shrijith Krishnan, and Ashwani Kumar.
Pandya challenged these young players to work hard and stated that MI has the best facilities to help them develop into top cricketers.
“My message to all the young guns who are joining Mumbai Indians this year is that if you are here, you have that spark, you have that talent, which the scouts have seen,” he says.”They found me, they found Jasprit, they found Krunal, they found Tilak. They all eventually played for the country.
“All you have to do is show up, train, work hard, and the best part is that Mumbai Indians has the facility to make them flourish.”
