Ankita will face Thailand’s Thasaporn Naklo in the pre-quarterfinals.
Shrivalli Bhamidipaty, the tournament champion from Solapur last week, defeated Thailand’s Bunyawi Thamchaiwat, the runner-up, 6-4, 6-2 in the opening round.
In the second round, Shrivalli will face Zuzanna Pawlikowska of Poland, a qualifier. Aarjun Pandit will face Sarthak in the quarterfinals. Mayank Sharma, Samuel Jones, Deep Munim, Bhicky Sagolshem, Bushan Haobam, and top seed Parth Aggarwal were among the other players that advanced to the quarterfinals.
