— Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (@gssjodhpur) December 23, 2024On December 24, the pair will throw a reception party in Hyderabad, Sindhu’s hometown, so the festivities are far from ended.

There was a Sangeet on December 20. The following day, there was Haldi, Pellikuthuru, and Mehendi.

The two families are well connected, but the wedding plans came together in less than a month, according to Sindhu’s father, who was speaking about the wedding. Due to Sindhu’s commitment to training and competitions beginning next year, the pair selected this date.Sindhu recently defeated Wu Luo Yu of China in the finals of the Syed Modi India International badminton tournament in Lucknow, ending her more than two-year drought on the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour.
In two consecutive games, Sindhu defeated Luo Yu 21-14, 21-16, in the 47-minute final match.

In contrast to Syed Modi India International, a BWF Super 300 tournament, Sindhu had not won a BWF World Tour championship since the Singapore Open title in July 2022, which was a BWF Super 500 competition. She made it to the finals of the Malaysia Masters and the Spain Masters in 2023 and this year, but she was unable to take home the championship.
