Gary Hall, a former taekwondo practitioner from England, was hired as an HPD at Inspire Institute

Inspire Institute HPD hired Gary Hall, a former taekwondo practitioner from England.

In Vijayanagara, Gary Hall, a former England taekwondo athlete, has been named High-Performance Director at Inspire Institute of Sport, one of the country’s best athlete training facilities.

With over twenty years of experience in sports performance and three European and World Championships as a representative of Great Britain, Hall, a recipient of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, will be based in Vijayanagar and will lead multidisciplinary teams and develop high-performance strategies for athletes. The two-time Olympic javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra is one of the top Indian athletes who continue to improve their skills at the Inspire Institute of Sport.

“Specialising in developing high-performance strategies for athletes and leading multidisciplinary teams, Gary’s understanding of athletes and passion for fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and excellence align with IIS’s mission to nurture and develop India’s sporting talent,” according to a statement released by the training center.”In his new role, he is prepared to guide IIS athletes by implementing strategies to enhance performance across all levels, aiming to achieve success in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships.”Great Britain won ten taekwondo Olympic medals, four Paralympic medals, 37 World Championship medals, and 61 European Championship medals under Gary’s leadership.

Through a holistic approach, he has optimized athlete performance while leading high-performance teams on the European, international, and Olympic levels.Gary expressed his desire to cultivate a culture of creativity and support at IIS.

“I am excited to work with all of the athletes and staff to advance a performance culture that is stimulating, upbeat, innovative, and encouraging.

“I firmly believe that IIS athletes can become intensely competitive and add to the Indian Olympic team to deliver inspiring medal winning performances that inspire the whole nation of India to take part in Olympic Sport.”
