On Friday, Donald Trump announced his intention to posthumously pardon Pete Rose, the legendary baseball player who was jailed for tax cheating and banned for life for game betting.

Pete Rose, the baseball legend who was convicted for tax evasion and banned for life for betting on games, was given a posthumous pardon by Donald Trump on Friday. Rose was the all-time hit king of Major League Baseball and passed away last year at the age of 83. The US president also reaffirmed his demand that she be admitted into the Hall of Fame. “I will be signing a complete PARDON of Pete Rose over the next few weeks,” Trump stated on his Truth Social platform. “He should have been betting on HIS TEAM WINNING, not baseball.””Baseball, which is dying all over the place, should get off its fat, lazy ass, and elect Pete Rose, even though far too late, into the Baseball Hall of Fame!” the commentator stated.

Rose, nicknamed “Charlie Hustle” for his relentless effort and unwavering resolve, set MLB career records, including 4,256 hits.

However, he left the sport in disgrace after being permanently banned from American baseball in 1989 for gambling on games while managing the Cincinnati Reds.Rose was denied entry into the temple of legends when the Baseball Hall of Fame decided two years later to not consider players on the permanent ban list.

After years of denial, Rose finally acknowledged in 2004 that he had placed bets on Reds games, stating that he always placed bets on his team to win and never on them to lose.

For tax evasion, the baseball player was again imprisoned for five months in 1990 and early 1991.
