“It has been a great ride, and I have loved every minute of it,” Smith remarked in reference to his ODI career. There have been a ton of incredible experiences and memorable moments. Two World Cup victories and the several outstanding teammates that accompanied us on the voyage were also outstanding highlights. It feels like the ideal time to start making way since there is a fantastic opportunity for people to begin getting ready for the 2027 World Cup.
“Test cricket is still my top priority, and I am eagerly anticipating the World Test Championship Final, the winter match against the West Indies, and the home match against England.” I believe I still have a lot to offer on that platform.
