While participating in the KSCA Group three league semi-final alongside his son Anvay, T20 World Cup champion coach Rahul Dravid sustains an injury.
Some major franchise changes have resulted from the IPL auction, and the Rajasthan Royals are one of the clubs that has undergone major management and team changes. Rahul Dravid, a former Indian batting great, has been hired as the first champions’ head coach for the 2025 campaign. While Sanju Samson remains in charge, the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning coach made some significant roster adjustments, adding some up-and-coming players. But the 52-year-old former captain of India recently hurt himself while playing cricket with his son Anvay in the semi-final of the KSCA Group Three League.Despite this, Dravid was playing well at the crease, hitting six boundaries and scoring 29 off 28 deliveries. Unfortunately, a calf injury ended his innings as he was helped off the field. Dravid took a little break from the RR training camp as a result, but according to the franchise’s post, in which he is also pictured wearing a brace, he has chosen to attend the preseason training camp.
The Rajasthan Royals wrote on X (previously Twitter) that “Head Coach Rahul Dravid, who sustained an injury while playing cricket in Bangalore, is recovering well and will join us today in Jaipur.”
