Earlier, the five-time champion Chennai Super Kings reached 176 for 5 thanks to half-centuries from Shivam Dube and Jadeja, who also shared a 79-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Jadeja scored an undefeated 53 off 35 deliveries and Dube hit 50 off 32 balls to help MS Dhoni’s struggling team overcome a lackluster start.Rahul Tripathi was replaced for the game by Ayush Mhatre, who came in at one-down and scored a crucial 32 runs (15 balls).
