Fleming went on to say that his club will also keep an eye out for athletes who could be able to join it in the following seasons.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore have one of the most fierce rivalries in the Indian Premier League. CSK head coach Stephen Fleming, on the other hand, isn’t afraid to follow in his rival’s footsteps in rescuing his team’s floundering IPL 2025 campaign. The Super Kings are currently at the bottom of the table and face ninth-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chepauk on Friday.”We are hoping to win six out of six [final league games]. Some will laugh, but RCB has laid up plans for that in 2024. So, while there’s still a chance, we’re focused on getting the best players for this game,” added Fleming.Following CSK’s defeat to the Mumbai Indians earlier this week, captain MS Dhoni advocated a pragmatic strategy for the second half of the IPL 2025.

“We are realistic about our current condition. But we will not stop looking for individuals and combinations for next year, and we will see it as an opportunity,” stated Dhoni.Fleming reiterated Dhoni’s thought process, emphasising the team’s knowledge of its current position.

“We’re aware that if it doesn’t work out, we’ll have to make the best of what has been a disappointing season. And the effort we performed in the past while in this position prepared us to win the title the following year. So we’re very aware of what has to be done and how we may go about it,” Fleming stated.

The former New Zealand captain emphasized CSK’s strategy to blending experience with young.”We’re at an intriguing position where we’ve established a core group of Indian players. Over the previous few years, we’ve added players like Ambati Rayudu and Ajinkya Rahane. However, we have not neglected youth. Ayush Mhatre received a chance in the final game and performed well.

“It excites us because we are focused on the future. But there is a balance. It’s not just about youth. It’s not only about men being too old. It’s somewhere in the middle, where you get a variety of experiences,” Fleming explained.
