In an astonishing admission, former New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor claims that one of the Rajasthan Royals team owner “slapped” him during the 2011 IPL season. The Kiwi said that the team’s owner gave him a fist bump after dismissing him for a duck during a match against Kings XI Punjab (now known as Punjab Kings) in Mohali. In his most recent autobiography, Ross Taylor: Black &White, Taylor made the disclosure.

In his book, which was excerpted by Stuff.co.nz, Taylor stated, “The pursuit was 195, I was lbw for a duck and we didn’t get close.”
“Following that, the players, support staff, and management were in the hotel’s top-floor bar. Warnie was there with Liz Hurley (Shane Warne).

I wasn’t going to raise a concern because of the circumstances, but I couldn’t image that happening in many professional sports contexts. From 2008 through 2010, Taylor, at 38, played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2011, he was still with RR. He has represented the now-defunct Pune Warriors India as well as the Delhi Capitals, which were formerly known as the Delhi Daredevils.

“When you earn that much money, you are eager to show that you are deserving of it. Additionally, individuals who are paying you that kind of money have high expectations because that is both human nature and professional sport ” I had put in my time at RCB, and even if I had a bad run, the management would still have trusted me because of what I had accomplished before. You don’t get that support if you join a new team ” You never feel at ease because you are aware that you would be subject to cold-eyed scrutiny if you go two or three games without scoring.”

Taylor’s assertion that he encountered racism during his 16-year career with the New Zealand team made the autobiography popular.
Taylor, who is of Samoan descent, had spoken of racist “banter” in the locker room and blatantly discriminatory remarks made by several New Zealand team officials.
