Former India captain Bhaichung Bhutia declared on Wednesday that he will continue to work hard for the growth of football in the nation, unconcerned by Kalyan Chaubey’s overwhelming victory in the most recent elections for the position of AIFF President.
A day after arriving in his native state of Sikkim, he addressed the media at a press conference, saying, “I am dedicated to work for the growth of football in the country.”
He expressed his gratitude to everyone for their support throughout the election process, as well as to the many social organisations and political parties.
It is now time to put all election-related concerns to rest and focus on the current efforts to enhance the national pastime of football, according to Bhutia.
