The election process for the Indian Cricket Board is currently in full swing.
A seven-page “notice of election timetable and request for full members (state associations) to file applications to nominate their respective representatives” was published on Saturday by AK Joti, the electoral officer appointed by the BCCI. A copy of the notification, which detailed all the election deadlines, was also posted online by the Board.
Members have until October 4 at 6 PM to submit their applications to nominate a representative.
On October 18, elections will take place here, and that day will also see the announcement of the results.
On October 5, at 6 p.m., the draught electoral roll will be made public; the next two days have been set aside for the submission of complaints to the names on it. On October 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., nominated applicants will be scrutinised; at 7 p.m. that day, the list of qualified candidates will be disclosed. On October 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., candidates may withdraw their nominations. Three days before the election, on October 15, the list of candidates will be made public.
